  • Sarah Khatib - Destination Downtown President

    Sarah Khatib

    Sarah Khatib is the founder and president of Destination Downtown. Her passion for planning and economic development led her to join with other community and business leaders to form a community-led nonprofit to revitalize downtown Walpole. She is also a Town Meeting Representative for Precinct 8. Her professional background is in civil structural engineering. Sarah holds degrees from Purdue University and University of Illinois Urbana. She has lived in Walpole with her husband and four children for 13 years.

  • Harry Brousaides - VP of Destination Downtown

    Harry Brousaides

    Harry Brousaides is the vice president of Destination Downtown and president of The Walpole Chamber of Commerce. He has been working in the financial services industry for over 30 years, helping individuals, families and business owners. Harry has been a resident of Walpole for 24 years, is a current RTM member and has a seat on the Walpole Economic Development Committee. Harry is a member of two business networking groups located in Walpole and is a Master Mason at the Azure Lodge of A.F. & A.M.

  • Dave Clark - Destination Downtown board member

    Dave Clark

    Dave Clark is a research scientist at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and also serves part time as an adjunct professor of mathematics. A graduate of Walpole High School, he went on to receive science degrees from UMass Lowell and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He returned to Walpole more than 25 years ago and has served as a town meeting representative for over a decade.

  • Eric Hurwitz - Destination Downtown board member

    Eric Hurwitz

    Eric Hurwitz is the editor and publisher of the New England travel site, VisitingNewEngland.com. He is also the author of "Massachusetts Town Greens," a book detailing the history of 70-plus essential town greens in Massachusetts. Hurwitz holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from Suffolk University in Boston, Mass. He spent 20-plus years as a reporter, assistant editor, editor and public affairs specialist/officer in the public and private sectors before starting his work of love, VisitingNewEngland.com. He is a U.S. Army Superior Civilian Award recipient and a 28-year resident of Walpole.

  • Louise Cence

    Louise Cence is a long time resident of Walpole, having moved from Brighton with her husband 45 years ago in search of a more country setting. They raised their two children in Walpole, and now have six grandchildren who are the light of their lives. They intend to retire here in what they now call their “home town!”

    Louise has been a realtor for more than 25 years and is able to share with her clients her knowledge and experiences from being a member of Destination Downtown.

    She looks forward to the changes that are taking place knowing that they will improve the look of the center and make it a more desirable downtown location that we are proud to call our home. Welcome home!

  • Rick Ward

    Rick Ward recently relocated to Walpole from Roslindale with his partner. He was a volunteer with Roslindale Village Main Street, an economic revitalization program for seventeen years, including five years on their Board of Directors. He also served on their Economic Restructuring, Marketing, and Farmers Market Committees. As a recent retiree from Boston College, he did corporate relations for the Carroll School of Management’s Center for Corporate Citizenship. Prior to employment at BC Rick worked for NeighborWorks America, an organization that advocates for home ownership for low-to-moderate income families. Rick has a BS from UMass/Amherst and an MPA from Northeastern University.
