GUIDED HIKES IN WALPOLE TO START THE NEW YEAR!

The Walpole Trails Committee and the Friends of Adams Farm have announced the offering of three guided community “first hikes” in Walpole on January 1st. Note that the trails are available to hike unguided at any time. See the trail pulldown menu at Walpole Trails at the bottom of the page for detailed information on all Walpole hikes including those listed here.
Hike #1
9:00 AM, Walpole Town Forest, 691 Common Street
This hike begins and ends at Jarvis Farm, following the trails through the East and West Parcels of the Town Forest. Approximately 3.5 miles, 2 hours.
Hike #2
10:00 A.M., Route 1A Sports Complex, 2450 Main Street
This hike will follow the walking trail at the sports complex and walk along the old railbed, then return by way of the former Southwood Hospital. Approximately 1.5 miles, 1.5 hours.
Hike #3
10:00 AM, VFW Parking Lot, 109 Robbins Road
This hike will follow trails to Mine Brook. Approximately 2.5 miles, 2 hours.
